High Thermal and Acoustic Performance Within a Minimal System
The project required ultra-minimal glazing systems that could meet stringent Title 24 energy requirements while delivering enhanced acoustic performance and protection from UV transmission. Large expanses of glass needed to maintain exceptional transparency and narrow sightlines without sacrificing interior comfort or performance.

Process

Utilized the Trü Vantage 53 minimal sliding system and FWS 35 façade system with advanced thermal break technology to achieve high-performance glazing while maintaining the project's minimal architectural aesthetic.

Developed insulated glass assemblies incorporating laminated inboard glass for enhanced acoustic control and UV filtration, along with argon-filled insulated glass cavities and high-performance spacers to improve thermal efficiency and lower U-values.

Engineered glazing assemblies capable of filtering approximately 99.9% of UV transmission while maintaining clarity, expansive views, and minimal visible framing.
Result
The completed facade and sliding systems achieve exceptional thermal efficiency, acoustic performance, and UV protection without increasing visible system dimensions. By combining Trü Vantage 53, FWS 35, advanced thermal breaks, and high-performance insulated glazing, the residence maintains uninterrupted glass expanses while improving occupant comfort and protecting interior finishes.
