Challenge
Oversized Minimal Sliding Doors with Extremely Narrow Sightlines
The project required oversized multi-slide door panels reaching approximately 12.5 ft tall while maintaining some of the narrowest in-plane and out-of-plane interlock profiles possible. Standard sliding systems created excessive panel depth and large visual separations between glass panes, conflicting with the architectural vision of a minimal continuous opening.

Process
01 Developed a custom minimal sliding door system specifically engineered for this project.
02 Reinforced ultra-narrow aluminum interlock profiles with internal steel bars to increase structural capacity while maintaining minimal dimensions.

03 Optimized both profile width and depth to reduce visual bulk and minimize out-of-plane projection.
04 Integrated the ADS 75.SI system to achieve high thermal performance while accomodating oversized insulated glass units.
Result
Large-format sliding panels at approximately 12.5 ft tall were successfully delivered with exceptionally narrow sightlines and reduced panel depth. The system achieved a clean, minimal aesthetic while maintaining structural integrity, operability, and thermal performance at unusually large dimensions.
